UGN introduces itself

A globally active company, we can look back at 15 successful years specialising in the distribution of desulphurisation and exhaust air purification plants, and filtering material that we develop ourselves.

Over these 15 years, we set ourselves the task of providing new solutions for effective and cost efficient exhaust air purification and biogas desulphurisation. The core element of these solutions is the production of the cellulose fibre-based filtering material, UgnCleanPellets®. Since 2011, aided by our collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences Jena and sponsorship from the Thuringia Development Bank, we have been able to further enhance the pellets and optimise them to customer needs.

Our company was founded in Gera in 2002. Today we employ over 20 highly qualified engineers, technicians, and project managers. In addition, we are supported by a comprehensive worldwide network of distribution partners. We have always relied on the same approach: Listen – Understand – Act. In this way, we can guarantee individual methods of resolution that are tailor-made to our customers.  >> about the team

Since 2012, UGN has been a 100% subsidiary of Rietzler-Gruppe GmbH. Because of this, we are able to benefit from close collaborations with the environmental engineering firm R & H Umwelt GmbH and the environmental laboratory Analytik Institut Rietzler GmbH.  >> Information on the corporate group

We also take responsibility for climate protection in our own company. Since 2010, we have met the requirements set out by the Thuringia Sustainability Agreement (NAThüringen). This is a voluntary agreement between the Thuringian state government and Thuringia’s industry sector, whereby we commit to use resources carefully, while rendering services towards climate and environmental protection.

In 2016, UGN was awarded the quality seal “TOP-Innovator” for its innovative products and services. A maximum of 100 German SMEs can receive this honour. Ranga Yogeshwar – competition mentor – presented the TOP-100 trophy to our Managing Director, Christian Richter.
